Study Title: Room for Hope: Investigating experiences with hope in those with terminal or life limiting diagnoses, their families and healthcare providers
Rationale: To help understand the experiences with hope in terminal patients or those with life limiting diagnoses, their families, and healthcare providers.
Study Description: The research study aims to explain in what ways hope is fostered, its impact on patients with any life-limiting or terminal diagnosis, their family members and healthcare providers, as well as possible ways hope can be further included within the care of these patients. Participants must be living in New Brunswick. Participation involves an interview over the telephone, Microsoft Teams, or in-person (if feasible). The interview will take about 30 to 60 minutes. Who can participate: All participants must be 19+. We are looking to interview individuals who are living in New Brunswick and have a terminal or life-limiting diagnosis; family members of someone who has or had a terminal or life-limiting diagnosis living in New Brunswick; healthcare providers who treat or work with those with terminal or life-limiting diagnoses living in New Brunswick.
